Legoland...what perfect backdrop!
I was just listening to an audio message a friend left me about the tumult of life and how WE ARE IN IT. We have kids that will be graduating from 8th grade and making very big decisions about how they want their education to look and feel next year, we have younger kids who will still need guidance and participation in their lives so that they can get to the same place our big kids are at, and one of us (not me) has a kid entering the end of their high school career. One thing that this friend shared is that now is when the mid-winter blues are setting in because while we have received rain to make the flowers bloom soon enough, grey and dreary really isn't anyone's cup of tea, am I right?
Thankfully, last week was ski week for our family and we were fortunate enough to get some gorgeous sunshine while in Southern California. We drove 7 hours down to Disney by way of LA, and after a day spent enjoying the park, we moved on to our destination, San Diego. We spent 5 wonderful days exploring, eating, playing with cousins and grandparents, and celebrating my in-laws 50th anniversary! And let me tell you, that sunshine was a true blessing. It kinda restored my faith that warmer weather and spring is definitely coming.
Anyhow, if you're wondering how much granola does my family really eat? How do we eat it? Do we travel with it? The answer is a lot, any way you can think of, and yep, of course we do. We brought a few bags of each granola along the way, a few for photo ops, and then some to share and consume. Most mornings I find myself with Greek yogurt, honey, fresh fruit, and the day in my bowl. My son usually eats the Macadamia Coconut Ginger with oatmilk, and my daughter regularly takes Greek yogurt parfait with Peanut Butter Maple. And my husband??? If there's a bag laying around it's empty after he finds it! ;)
Anyhow, this is how I enjoyed it while we did a quick loop at Legoland...straight out of the bag and into my mouth!
